Supervisor Dashboard: Department-Specific Frontend
A department-aware dashboard with role-based access and a caching layer that cut redundant data fetching.
Brief
Different departments used the same dashboard but needed different views, permissions, and data, without turning the codebase into a maze of conditionals.
Approach
- Role-Based Views: Built department-specific dashboard views in React and TypeScript, gating access cleanly by user role.
- Client-Side Caching: Built a data provider to cut redundant fetches, leveraging configurable expiry and pattern-based cache invalidation.
Result
Reduced redundant API calls and improved page load time across the dashboard.
